What are the differences between Customized and Automated Campaigns?

Loyalti is a comprehensive system with different ways of sending marketing campaigns. The system includes both automated and customized campaigns.

Loyalti is a loyalty and customer engagement system that allows you to send marketing campaigns to your shoppers. (Find out more about marketing campaigns here.) These messages can be automated or personally composed by you and your staff. Here is the differences between these two types of marketing campaigns. 

Automated Campaigns

  • Automated marketing campaigns are messages that are composed in advance by our system or by you and are automatically sent to shoppers who meet criteria set in the Loyalti backend system. (Find out more about Automated Campaigns here.)
  • The goal of Automated Campaigns is to entice shoppers to return to your store. Automated messages should be written as positive and inviting. 
  • Qualifying criteria for shoppers to receive Automated Campaigns include: 
    • 30 Days - Shoppers who have not returned to your store within 30 days. 
    • 60 Days - Shoppers who have not returned to your store within 60 days. 
    • 90 Days - Shoppers who have not returned to your store within 90 days. 
    • Birthdays - Shoppers can receive a message before their birthday, giving a special incentive to return to your store on their birthday in order to redeem an offer.
    • Milestone Achieved - Shoppers can receive a message after a milestone has been achieved, such as their 1st visit, 20th visit, or after being a customer for 1 year. 
  • Three Formats: Three formats of marketing campaigns in the Loyalti system can be used to send Automated CampaignsMobile push, Email, and SMS (text).

Customized Campaigns

  • Customized marketing campaigns are messages that are composed by you and your team at your store. These types of customized messages can be sent whenever you schedule them. (Find out more about Customized Campaigns here.)
  • The goal of Customized Campaigns is to communicate current information about your store to your customers and to provide them with offers.
  • Two Types: There are two types of Customized Campaigns: 
    1. Announcements: This type of customized campaign is designed to tell your shoppers about store events, new inventory, and announce changes to your store Find out how to create a Custom Announcement campaign here
      • Examples of an Announcement: A new store location, new hours of business, weekend extended hours, closed for vacation or re-opening for the summer. 
    2. Offers: This type of customized campaign is designed to tell your shoppers about special offers that should bring them back to your store to shop again. Offers should be time or product limited. Find out how to create a Custom Offer campaign here
      • Examples of an Offer: 10% off this weekend only, Free Coffee with Bagel Buy, show this Offer to receive $5 off a $50 purchase, Double Points Saturday
  • All Formats: All formats of marketing campaigns in the Loyalti system can be used to send Automated CampaignsMobile push, Email, SMS (text) and MMS (multi-media).
